Perry’s Role:

Having lost their first choice of additional guitarist, Jef and Steve began to feel the pressure to really make a hard push with Resistor, particularly, as they were seeing The Replacements starting to carve out a niche for themselves. Lead singer Flash seemed to have less and less time, and while they loved his voice, they decided to bring on someone with more time and energy to devote to the band.  The final few Resistor performances featured former Chaser singer, and Jef’s childhood friend, Perry.  However, by this time, Jef and Steve, guilty as many are in their youth, had broken a good thing beyond repair. The group split up. By the mid 1980’s Perry was off in LA, and working as an actor.

Reunions were talked about sporadically years later, but the group now lives again as Jef’s vehicle for his original material, and Steve is again providing the backbone from the drum throne.

There are plans for a potential Classic Line Up reunion in the summer of 2013. Stay tuned to this site’s homepage for details, should it come together!
